We are not a denomination, we are not a local church, we are a christian counseling ministry. We are a non-profit organization touching and transforming lives in our community,

GSM Cameroon is a group of people from all areas of life who have come together to serve and offer solution to those in bondage, orphans, widows, disabled and those who seek christian counseling. Our team out of Cameroon support the work being done on the ground through prayer, encouragement, and financial support, as well as through sending materials needed to foster the work of God.

WE OFFER THE FOLLOWING SERVICES

  • Samaritan Christian Counseling Services to the public.
  • Samaritan Christian Counseling Training to Individuals & Church Groups.
  • Empowerment of Widows, Orphans and the Destitute.
  • We operate a quiet and comfortable Retreat Facility for members of the body of Jesus Christ.
  • We operate a convenient prayer retreat facility for the body of Christ in Limbe.

OUR SERVICES ARE OFFERED TO PROVIDE

  • Inner Healing to the broken hearted resulting to Faith, Love and Hope.
  • Freedom to Captives; setting them free from demonic activities.
  • Training for Samaritan Counselors and Clients to recognize and accept the call of Jesus Christ to go and do likewise. Luke 10:37.

All services provided by Good Samaritan Ministries are on a voluntary donation basis.

TYPE OF COUNSELING

  • We counsel individuals, Families and Children.
  • We also offer group therapy options as well as Classes.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

Sponsor a widow or an orphan to school. Provide funds for food and material.  We all know that it costs money to run an NGO like this – donate to keep this organization running well. GSM Cameroon is run entirely on donations and fundraising. We promise to use your donation in the most effective way possible to further the mission of Good Samaritan Ministries Cameroon.

EDUCATION

The heartbeat of GSM Cameroon is training counselors.  We believe that God’s Kingdom has come in the person of Jesus Christ, and so we fight to empower Christian Counseling.

HISTORY

Founder

Mama Bettie Michelle

Good Samaritan Ministries  (www.gsmusa.org) was founded in 1976 as a Counseling and Teaching Organization by Bettie Mitchell.
 
In 1976 Bettie Mitchell was visiting on the ancient walls of Neniveh while some children played down bellow.
 Then the Lord asked her: “Bettie here are children, where are the teachers?” “You know Lord” Bettie responded. Then the Lord told her: “From now on you will quit your job and Teach nothing but the Kingdom of God”.
 
Some time latter, God told Bettie to teach the Parable of the Good Samaritan. So Bettie named the ministry “The Good Samaritan Ministries”. GSM operates in over 30 countries worldwide majority of them are in Africa.
 

GSM Cameroon

Good Samaritan Ministries Cameroon was founded on 23rd November 2002 in Limbe SW Region Republic of Cameroon by Rev. Dr. Tangye Fofuntum George lovingly known as Salt.
 
The creation of GSM Cameroon came as a Burden in the heart of Rev. Dr. Tangye to help Widows, Orohans and the Needy in this challenging and difficult times. He shared this burden with his brother Inlaw Joseph Nkemontoh in the United States of America who is a Good Samaritan.  By divine provision, Rev Dr. Tangye was invited by Bettie Mitchelle to the conference of National.Directors in USA in 2002 where he was trained and commissioned to come.back home and state the ministry.
 
GSM Cameroon has it’s Head office in Limbe, centers in New Town Limbe, Douala and Yaounde.
 

 

SUPPORT

For us, support looks like a couple of different things.  There are obviously tangible needs for the work in Cameroon that can be met with financial and other donations. The other aspect of support is prayer. If you’re in our Whatsapp Group, you’re already receiving a monthly prayer guide.
